Retro Restoration

1957 Shasta

Here's where we started, a rough little trailer but pretty much all there.  There was not a straight piece of aluminum on the outside, and quite a bit of water damage inside.  Did I mention it was DIRTY!

Typical Retro Restoration rebuild.  Take it down to the bare wooden crate, replace any damaged wood, refinish the interior, rewire, insulate and add the new skin.

The completed interior.  This trailer featured new counter & table top and upper compartment doors in blue Boomerang Formica, new upholstery and a custom Marmoleum floor.  Appliances refinished, new mattress and one of Retro Restorations Hide-A-Way Porta-Potties

Notice it was reskinned in the correct 6" pattern before being painted a combination of Colonial White and Regatta Blue in a high quality automotive urethane finish.  All new light fixtures, window glass and a new set of wide whitewall tires were added.  Also notice the new door and the Retro Restoration reproduction screen door.

We are confidant that this is as nice of an early Shasta you could find.  This one has already been sold, but we are starting early December on another Shasta, a 1956 model similar to this one.  The 56 will be a coral and cream combination.  Watch for it soon!
